Hydraulic cutter suction dredger

Cutter suction dredger is suitable for heavy duty and durable operations with dismountable structure. It is easy to transport through road, rail or by ship due to its reasonable size and weight of the various dismountable modules. The complete hydraulic cutter suction dredger consists of one main pontoon and two side pontoons which are mounted to the main pontoon using heavy duty steel eyes and pins at the bottom of the hull, they are connected at deck level. The pontoons are of welded steel constructions with heavy frames, beams and longitudinal girders. Extra reinforcements are placed where necessary to withstand all forces while dredging. It is widely used for river silt cleaning, delisting lakes and ponds, mining project, cleaning ports and sand production.

Hydraulic cutter suction dredger uses the rotary cutter head in the front of the suction pipe to cut and stir the solids in the river bottom. In this process the slurry concentration will reach a satisfactory ratio so that the powerful pump could suck and discharge the mixed slurry to the designated location via discharge pipe. The series of cutting, suction, transporting and discharging actions could be finished continuously one time.
When working, you should lower one spud in the back of the dredger in the river bottom, then swing the dredger to cut solids by controlling the steel cable and the locating pulleys fixed on the two sides of the ladder. The dredger will work in fan shape and discharge the solids via pipelines connected on the sand pump outlet. Advancing and locating of the cutter suction dredger are all reached by the alternating movement of the two spuds.
